Request a foundation evaluation
Call if something has changed fast, like a crack that opened up this week or a door that suddenly won't latch. Otherwise, send a request and a local foundation contractor will call you back.
Before you call
It helps to have:
- Your address and town, so the request reaches a contractor that serves it
- Whether the house is on a slab or has a crawl space (pier-and-beam), if you know
- What you're seeing: cracks, sticking doors, sloping floors, gaps at trim
- When you first noticed it, and whether it's getting worse
- Any past foundation repairs, warranties or inspection reports
Write down what you've noticed. Which doors stick, where the cracks are, and roughly when they showed up helps a contractor understand how the house is moving before they arrive.
